Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Opportunity – High-Volume Hospital Practice
Overview

Schedule & Work Expectations
Standard weekday schedule with a mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts
Occasional variation in shift length depending on departmental needs
Some weekend coverage may be required depending on rotation
Expected consistent clinical coverage with additional call responsibilities as outlined by the department
Providers are expected to be present and engaged for the full duration of assigned shifts (excluding standard breaks)
Schedule is released in advance to support planning and continuity
Clinical Environment
Acute care hospital setting with multiple operating rooms
Supervised anesthesia care model with opportunities for independent case management depending on experience and case assignment
Strong physician collaboration with established anesthesia leadership
EMR system utilized throughout perioperative workflow
Case Mix & Clinical Scope
Broad exposure across multiple specialties, including:
General surgery
Orthopedics
Obstetrics
Pediatric cases (select sites)
ENT
Urology
Endoscopy
Vascular
Cardiac and advanced procedures at select sites
Interventional radiology and diagnostic imaging support in some settings
Providers should be comfortable working across a varied and fast-paced surgical schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care across diverse surgical services
Participate in perioperative evaluation, induction, maintenance, and emergence of anesthesia
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams
Support efficient OR throughput and patient flow
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Adhere to hospital safety, quality, and compliance standards
Requirements
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist certification required
Active or eligible state licensure (or willingness to obtain where applicable)
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
Strong clinical competency in general anesthesia practice
Ability to function effectively in both supervised and semi-autonomous environments
Minimum clinical experience preferred (varies by site)
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment
