# CRNA – Locum Tenens

## ⚡ POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

* **Practice Setting:** Hospital-based Anesthesia
* **Coverage Areas:** Main OR, Endoscopy, Cardiac Lab, and Ambulatory Surgery Center
* **Schedule:** Full-time coverage; **2–3 FTEs needed**
* **Call:** **No call required for CRNAs**
* **Evening/Night/Weekend Coverage:** 1 CRNA in-house
* **Supervision:** Anesthesiologist supervision
* **Supervision Ratio:** 1:4 general; **1:2 cardiac**
* **Independent Function:** CRNAs must be able to function independently
* **Patient Population:** Adult, geriatric, and patients age 16+
* **Main ORs:** 15
* **Ambulatory Surgery Center:** 4
* **Trauma Level:** **Level II**
* **EMR:** Epic
* **Block Scheduling:** Not required
* **Support Staff:** Scrub techs, RN circulators, and anesthesia technicians
* **Travel:** Travel reimbursement available

## 🏥 JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking **Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)** for an ongoing hospital-based anesthesia assignment beginning **December 2026 through June 2027**.

The CRNA will provide anesthesia coverage across multiple clinical areas, including the **main operating rooms, endoscopy unit, cardiac lab, and ambulatory surgery center**.

This is a **Level II Trauma** environment serving primarily adult and geriatric patients, as well as patients age 16 and older.

CRNAs will work as part of a collaborative anesthesia team while being expected to function independently when appropriate.

## 🩺 CLINICAL ENVIRONMENT

The anesthesia service includes:

* **15 Main Operating Rooms**
* **4 Ambulatory Surgery Center ORs**
* Endoscopy services
* Cardiac lab
* Level II Trauma services
* Adult and geriatric patient population
* Patients age 16+

CRNAs will have access to a comprehensive support team including:

* Scrub technicians
* RN circulators
* Anesthesia technicians

## ⏰ SCHEDULE & CALL

* **2–3 full-time CRNA positions needed**
* No call requirement for CRNAs
* One CRNA remains in-house for **evenings, nights, and weekends**
* Block scheduling is not required
* Overtime is calculated based on the scheduled daily shift rather than simply exceeding 40 hours per week
* The standard scheduled shift is **7:00 AM–5:30 PM**
* Hours worked beyond **5:30 PM** are eligible for overtime according to assignment terms
* A CRNA may work more than 40 hours in a week at the regular rate if the additional hours occur before the daily overtime threshold

## 📋 REQUIREMENTS

* **NBCRNA certification – Required**
* **Active New York State RN/APRN license – Required**
* Ability to function independently in a supervised anesthesia practice
* Experience appropriate for a hospital-based anesthesia environment
* Comfortable caring for adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients age 16+

## ✈️ TRAVEL

Travel expenses are eligible for reimbursement according to the assignment's travel policy.
