Locum CRNA – General, Cardiac, Neuro & Ortho Cases -PA
Job description
We’re seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 12-week locum tenens assignment starting ASAP. The position involves providing anesthesia for a diverse mix of general, cardiac, neuro, and orthopedic cases within an 11-room anesthesia department.
This is a collaborative care model, with MDs supervising CRNAs at a 4:1 ratio — and performing their own cases as well. Providers are expected to maintain full engagement during their 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), excluding the unpaid lunch break.
Charting Systems: EPIC, iPro, and GE
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments
Obtain and verify informed patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and associated risks
Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitor patient physiological status and respond to clinical changes
Perform necessary interventions to maintain patient safety and comfort
Requirements:
Active RN license (state licensure can be obtained prior to start)
Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
