CRNA Needed VA

Job description

Seeking an experienced CRNA for a 1-year locums assignment (through end of 2026), starting ASAP (Jan 5 preferred, flexible). Provider will float across 3 hospital sites.

Schedule & Call

8, 10, or 12-hour shifts

Minimum 1 shift/week (open to 1–2 weeks/month)

Locals welcome

Beeper call only: max 1–2 shifts/month (often none)

Clinical Environment

Level I Trauma experience required; fast-paced setting

Coverage across 1 Level I Trauma Center + 2 Community Hospitals

Team: 30+ anesthesiologists, 70+ CRNAs

100% supervised care-team model (1:4)

Hospital size: 700 beds

Case mix: Large vascular, neuro, high-risk OB/GYN, ortho, general, thoracic

Locums do not cover peds or hearts

Procedures CRNAs perform:

Epidurals, spinals, arterial lines

Some OB & trauma (mostly outpatient)

No regional blocks (e.g., brachial plexus)

Requirements

Some Level I trauma experience

VA license or compact preferred (licensing assistance available)

DEA not required

EMR: Cerner

COVID vaccine not required (exemption form needed)

CV gaps >30 days require explanation

Credentialing

Standard: 90–120 days

Emergency credentialing: 30–45 days
