Position Overview
Specialty: CRNA
Start date: ASAP (January 5 preferred), open to later starts
Contract length: Through end of 2026 (1‑year commitment)
Floating role across three locations (1 Level I Trauma Center + 2 community hospitals)
Open to local and traveling candidates
Minimum of 1 shift per week; open to 1–2 weeks per month
Schedule & Shifts
Mix of 8‑, 10‑, and 12‑hour shifts
Must be open to call
Maximum 1–2 call shifts per month
Most likely minimal or no call
All call is beeper call
Flexible scheduling; fast‑paced environment
CRNAs receive schedules in advance
Clinical Environment
Level I trauma experience required
Large system with 30+ anesthesiologists and 70+ full‑time CRNAs
100% supervised care‑team model (1:4 ratio)
Hospital size: 700 beds
Patient volume varies by site
Case Types
Large vascular
Neurosurgery
High‑risk OB/GYN
Orthopedics
General surgery
Thoracic
Limited pediatrics (locums not required to do peds or hearts)
Procedures & Responsibilities
CRNAs administer their own anesthetic drugs
Perform epidurals, spinals, and arterial lines
Some obstetrics and trauma (mostly outpatient surgery)
May perform arterial catheters, lumbar epidural catheters, and spinal anesthesia
No brachial plexus or other regional anesthesia blocks
Requirements
Board‑certified CRNA
Level I trauma experience required
State license: Open to licensing; VA or compact preferred
DEA not required
EMR: Cerner
COVID vaccine not required (must provide exemption form if applicable)
Any CV gap over 30 days must include an explanation
Credentialing
Standard credentialing: 90–120 days
Emergency credentialing: 30–45 days
Name‑clear process required (name + NPI)
Full submission must include skills checklist and interview availability within 48 hours
