Job description
Level II Trauma Center | Multi-Site Coverage
A hospital system is seeking an experienced CRNA for a medically directed practice with a 4:1 supervision model. Providers will float between the main hospital and an ambulatory surgery center.
Schedule:
Blocked Monday–Friday
3 x 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Schedule runs Sunday–Saturday
36–40 hours per week
1 call shift per 8-week schedule (either 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM or weekend call)
One early-in shift (7:00 AM) per 8-week schedule
Must be available for one holiday shift
Up to 3 schedule requests per 8-week block (not guaranteed)
Overtime applies only after scheduled shift hours (not after 40 hours)
Weekend call flexibility may include beeper coverage.
Practice Setting:
Level II Trauma Center
Heavy OB, thoracic, EP, and vascular case mix
Additional credentialing at:
4-OR satellite hospital
6-OR ambulatory surgery center
Providers may float between sites
Start day at the ambulatory center and flex to the main hospital as needed
Case Mix:
All cases except transplants
Hearts and lung cases
OB
Orthopedics
GI
ENT
Healthy pediatrics (including dental and ENT)
Thoracic
Vascular
CRNAs perform their own spinals and epidurals (no peripheral nerve blocks).
Requirements:
Active Virginia license at time of submission
AHA certifications required
Minimum 2 years of experience
Level II trauma experience required
OB and thoracic experience required
Must be proficient with spinal and epidural placement and management
Comfortable with healthy pediatric cases
Credentialing:
Estimated timeframe: 90–120 days
