Independent CRNA Opportunity in Virginia – Near Smith Mountain Lake

A CRNA-only hospital in southern Virginia is seeking a locum CRNA for a long-term assignment beginning in August. This is an excellent opportunity for providers who value autonomy, stability, and a supportive team environment. CRNAs practice independently and are fully integrated into the permanent staff, with many locums choosing to stay long-term.

The facility runs a steady daily schedule across multiple rooms and offers a wide variety of cases in a manageable setting. Providers will have flexibility with time off and can expect a collaborative, provider-focused culture.

Start Date: 8/24/2026
Contract Length: 3–12 months (ongoing potential)
Schedule:
• Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Weekday call: 3:30 PM – 11:00 PM (1–3 nights/week)
• Weekend call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (1–2 weekends/month)
• OT available after scheduled shifts
Practice Setting:
• CRNA-only, independent practice model
• 2 ORs + 2 procedure rooms (typically running 3 rooms/day)
Cases Include: general surgery, Gyn, ENT, plastics, podiatry, hand, peds ,urology, GI/endoscopy.
The CRNAs work independently within the full scope of practice, including peripheral nerve blocks.
Skills Required:
• Comfortable practicing independently
• Peripheral nerve blocks within full scope
Support & Culture:
• Locums treated as permanent staff
• Strong emphasis on provider culture and retention
• Flexible with time-off requests
• Long-term locums (some up to 5 years onsite)

Credentialing Timeframe: Temps may be available
