Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Job description

We are seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to provide ongoing anesthesia coverage at an acute care hospital in Winchester, Virginia.

The CRNA will work as part of a collaborative anesthesia team with anesthesiologist support, providing care for adult patients across a diverse procedural mix. The practice does not currently perform cardiac cases or heart procedures.

Winchester, Virginia

Hospital-based practice with potential occasional coverage at affiliated surgery centers based on staffing needs.

Schedule & Work Environment
4x10-hour shifts
Monday–Friday
Typical schedule: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Occasional 1:00 PM–11:00 PM shift
No call
No regular weekend coverage
Full-time weekly coverage preferred
Providers available 2–3 weeks per month may also be considered
Adult patient population
Hospital-based anesthesia practice
Approximately 2–15 cases per day, depending on case complexity
Holiday-period coverage may be needed, particularly on days surrounding holidays

Clinical Environment & Case Mix
1:4 care team model with anesthesiologist support
EP procedures are a significant component of the practice
Approximately 2 EP rooms, with roughly 4–5 cases per room per day
Endoscopy
Orthopedics
Limited OB
General anesthesia
Spinal and epidural anesthesia proficiency preferred
No cardiac cases/heart procedures currently

Requirements
NBCRNA certification required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS required – AHA
3–5 years of experience preferred
Comfortable providing general anesthesia
Spinal and epidural proficiency preferred
Adult anesthesia experience
Virginia license or willingness to obtain one
Candidates must reside outside the 60-mile facility radius
DEA is not required
Epic experience preferred
