Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CRNA for a 13-week locum tenens assignment at a large academic medical center and Level I Trauma facility in Virginia.

Schedule
Weekly availability is required
4 × 10-hour shifts per week
Additional 12-hour shifts may be available
Weekend availability is preferred, including Saturday and Sunday
Preference for candidates who can maintain a consistent weekly schedule rather than rotating weeks on/weeks off
Schedule flexibility is required
All time-off requests must be submitted upfront
Facility & Anesthesia Department
This Level I Trauma Center has a large, multidisciplinary anesthesia team consisting of:

Approximately 60 CRNAs
Approximately 70 attending anesthesiologists
Approximately 60 anesthesia residents
33 main operating rooms
16 off-site anesthesia locations
12 outpatient surgery operating rooms
3–4 standalone GI center rooms
EMR: Epic
Hospital Bed Size: 600

Patient Population
Ages 13 through end of life
High-acuity patient population
Regular experience with ASA III+ patients is preferred

Clinical Requirements
Candidates must be comfortable practicing across the full CRNA scope of practice.

Requirements
Board Certification: Required
Virginia License: Required
Minimum Experience: 2 years
Academic/Level I Trauma Experience: Minimum 1 year required at an Academic Medical Center or Level I Trauma Center
Level I or Level II Trauma experience preferred
Recent inpatient experience preferred
Regular experience managing ASA III+ patients preferred
Outpatient-only candidates may be considered, though inpatient experience is strongly preferred

Certifications
BLS: Required and must be current
ACLS: Required and must be current
BLS and ACLS certifications must be completed through the American Heart Association (AHA)

No local candidates
Candidate must live at least 50 miles from the facility

Credentialing
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Minimum 30 days
