POSITION OVERVIEW

Seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for a supplemental assignment at a hospital in Newport News, Virginia.

Candidates should have experience in General, Orthopedic, and OB anesthesia. Pediatric experience is also preferred.

SCHEDULE

Shift Options: 8, 10, or 12 hours

Scheduled Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

No call required

No overtime

COMPENSATION & TRAVEL

Rate: $250/hour

Lodging/Housing Stipend

Car Rental/Mileage Stipend

FACILITY DETAILS

10 anesthesia rooms

EMR: Epic

Physician supervision: Yes

MD-to-CRNA ratio: 1:4

Physicians also perform their own cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments.

Obtain and verify patient consent.

Discuss anesthetic options and associated risks with patients.

Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.

Monitor patients' physiological conditions.

Perform clinical interventions as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program.

Current CRNA certification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.

Experience in General, Orthopedic, and OB anesthesia.

LICENSING & CREDENTIALING

Candidates needing to obtain a Virginia state license may be considered.

Estimated privileging timeframe: 90–120 days.
