Anesthesiology Locum Need in Arizona

Position Overview

Specialty: Anesthesiology
Provider Type: MD or DO
Practice Setting: Hospital‑based
Case Mix:

High volume orthopedic (geriatric fractures, total joints)
Urology
General surgery (no bariatrics)
Advanced breast cancer surgery
All endoscopy under Propofol infusion
OB anesthesia coverage required


Annual Volume:

~3,000 OR cases
~3,000 endoscopy cases
~500 OB deliveries per year


Support Model:

CRNAs and nursing staff onsite
Locums anesthesiologist will always have a CRNA backup




Schedule and Coverage

Open Coverage Dates:

June 1 – June 5
June 15 – June 19
June 24 – June 26
July 6 – July 10
July 13 – July 17
August 3 – August 7
August 27 – August 28


Coverage Type: Open weeks as available
Patient Volume: 4–8 patients per day
Coverage Expectations:

Must be able to cover OB, OR, and endoscopy
Coverage may include nights and weekends


Response Support: CRNA always available

Licensure: Active Arizona license required or IMLC with LOQ
Skills Required:

Current OB anesthesia skills required
Ability to cover OB, OR, and endoscopy independently with CRNA support
