Position Overview
A community hospital in Cottonwood, Arizona is seeking a Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist for multiple open coverage dates throughout the summer. This is a well-rounded general anesthesia role with a strong mix of surgical, OB, and endoscopy cases, supported by CRNAs and nursing staff.

July 13–17
August 3–7
August 27–28

Assignment Details

Setting: Community Hospital
EMR: Cerner
Patients per Day: 4–8
Patient Population: All ages

Case Mix

Geriatric fractures
Urology
General surgery (no bariatrics)
Advanced breast cancer procedures
Total joints
Endoscopy (all cases under Propofol infusion)
OB (approximately 500 deliveries annually)

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia for OR, OB, and endoscopy cases
Maintain availability for night and weekend coverage
Collaborate closely with CRNAs (always paired with CRNA support)

Requirements

Active Arizona license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
Strong, current OB anesthesia skills required
Ability and willingness to cover OB, OR, and endoscopy, including nights/weekends

Support & Environment

Consistent CRNA and nursing support
Approximately 3,000 OR cases and 3,000 endoscopy cases annually
Balanced case variety in a collegial, team-based setting
