Anesthesiologist Needed Near Orange County, CA
Start Date: As soon as credentialed ~ 60-90 days
Contract Length: 13 weeks (potential ongoing)

Schedule

Monday–Friday
12-hour shifts preferred; 10s and 8s also accepted
Full-time schedule 40–50 hours per week
No weekends
No call
Credentialing timeframe: ~45 days
Temps available for early May start


Practice Details

Hospital environment, Level 1 trauma, high acuity
Medical direction model; anesthesiologists supervise CRNAs
Case mix includes general surgery, ortho, gyn, neuro, ENT, vascular, GI
No pediatrics
EMR: Epic
Special procedures include:

Vent management
Central lines
Arterial lines
PA catheter placement
Vascular cases (excluding open heart)
Ortho cases




Clinical Scope
Case responsibilities include:

General OR anesthesia across multiple surgical services
High-acuity adult cases
Standard pre-op, intra-op, and post-op anesthesia care
Airway management and line placement
CRNA supervision

Experience:

Trauma Level I or II experience within the last 2 years required

Caseload details provided upon request.

Requirements

Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified required
Active California medical license required (must be in hand at submission)
DEA (CA-specific) required
Epic experience required
Minimum 2 years experience
Trauma Level I/II experience in past 2 years


Additional requirements for submission

Valid CA license (must be active at submission; no EMSA)
Two supervisor references
All RTO included (max ~7 days per 13-week contract; none in first 2 weeks)
Screenshot of RTO required
Interview availability
Malpractice history fully disclosed

Locals accepted.

Medical Requirements

COVID vaccination + booster (no exemptions)
Influenza (no exemptions)
TB status
MMR (labs or vaccines)
Hepatitis B (labs or vaccines)
Tdap
Pre-employment physical within 3 months (occupational health only)
Ishihara color test
8-panel drug screen


Credentialing

Full hospital credentialing
Estimated timeframe: ~45 days
Temps available
Compliance documents due Wednesday prior to start
