Locum Anesthesiologists Needed in California | No Call

Job description

A leading academic health system in San Francisco is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist for a long-term locum tenens assignment. Providers will practice across multiple affiliated facilities, covering a mix of high-acuity inpatient and ambulatory surgical settings.

**Position Highlights**

* 26+ week assignment
* Full-time preferred
* Must be available for at least 2 weeks per month
* All-inclusive rate
* Adult and adolescent patient population (13+)
* EPIC EMR
* Credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days
* 1–2 interview process

**Practice Setting**
Providers will rotate between several affiliated facilities throughout the San Francisco area

This role requires flexibility to work in both inpatient and outpatient surgical environments. Providers will primarily work independently in the operating room, with occasional CRNA supervision.

**Case Mix**

* General anesthesia cases
* High-acuity inpatient surgical cases preferred
* Regional anesthesia experience strongly preferred but not required
* No cardiac, liver transplant, or neurosurgical cases

**Ideal Candidate**

* Recent experience (within the last 2–3 years) managing both inpatient and outpatient surgical cases
* Experience with higher-acuity patients (ASA III+) preferred
* Recent independent practice experience required
* Trauma experience strongly preferred
* Interest or experience working alongside CRNAs preferred
