The facility operates as a Level 3 trauma center with a broad scope of surgical specialties, offering a dynamic and clinically stimulating environment for anesthesiology providers.

Physician - Anesthesiology

Job Details:

• Provide inpatient anesthesiology coverage on a clinic and call schedule, including weeknights and weekends
• Providers must be willing to work nights and weekends - this is a critical requirement for the assignment
• Coverage needed approximately 1-2 weeks per month with a minimum of 5-7 shifts required per month
• Guaranteed 8 hours per day with overtime applying after 12 hours (overtime must be pre-approved by medical director by end of shift)
• Shift structures include OB Shift (7am-7pm) and Eve Shift (3pm-11pm), with in-house and on-call components
• New providers will be scheduled on day shifts initially before transitioning to night shifts once comfortable
• Active California medical license required - CA license only accepted
• Board certified or truly board eligible required
• Active DEA required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
• Perform general anesthesia for adult, pediatric, and trauma patients
• Administer spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia
• Manage obstetrical, neurosurgical (head and spine), thoracic, and complex vascular anesthesia cases
• Perform complex orthopedic case anesthesia management
• Apply pain management techniques including post-op epidural and post-op extremity blocks
• Manage ventilation and evaluate acute volume and blood pressure issues
• Perform central line and arterial line placement
