Position Highlights
Start: November 2, 2026
Contract: 13 weeks with potential for ongoing coverage
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Daytime Hours: Approximately 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Weekday Beeper Call: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM
Weekend Call: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
Setting: Acute care/community hospital

Candidates must be willing to rotate between both St. Petersburg and Pasadena locations and remain flexible with shift times based on daily surgical volume.

Clinical Scope

The anesthesiologist will provide anesthesia for a variety of bread-and-butter cases, including:

General surgery
Orthopedic cases
Regional anesthesia/blocks
TAP blocks
OB anesthesia, including spinals and epidurals
Outpatient surgery
Endoscopy
Short-stay surgical cases

Depending on the location, physicians may personally perform cases as well as supervise CRNAs.

Typical anesthesia care team ratios range from approximately 1:3 to 1:5 MD-to-CRNA, depending on the site and daily volume.

Requirements
Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Comfortable performing your own cases
Comfortable supervising CRNAs
Flexibility to provide coverage at both hospital locations
