Anesthesiologist Needed in the Greater Louisville Region of Kentucky
Start Date: May 2026
Contract Length: 26 weeks (ongoing)

Schedule

Day shift
10‑hour, 12‑hour, and 14‑hour shifts available (Monday–Friday)
Call required (weekday and weekend)
Standard physician call rotation
Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days


Practice Details

Acute care hospital environment
Care team model: MD supervision ratio approximately 1:3–1:4
MDs supervise CRNAs and perform their own cases
Large OR environment with multiple rooms running across the day
Separate OR, cardiac, endoscopy, and procedural areas
EMR system varies by department


Clinical Scope
Case responsibilities include:

General surgery
Major spine
ENT
Orthopedics
Vascular
Cardiac
No OB, trauma, or pediatrics
Full‑scope pre‑op, intra‑op, and post‑op anesthesia care
Airway management, continuous monitoring, anesthetic adjustments
Acute post‑operative pain management
Collaboration with multidisciplinary surgical teams

Caseload details to be confirmed.

Requirements

Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified
Active Kentucky medical license required (no licensing offered)
DEA required
Minimum 3 years of experience (5 years preferred)
Ability to supervise CRNAs and perform own cases
Must be comfortable with high‑acuity surgical environments
Provider home address must be 50+ miles away


Credentialing

Standard hospital credentialing
Estimated timeframe: ~90 days
Full onboarding required


Location
Greater Louisville region — hospital setting in an adjacent metropolitan community.
