Lafayette, Louisiana is situated at the intersection of I-10 and I-49, approximately 35 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico, and serves as a regional hub for Cajun and Creole culture, cuisine, and outdoor recreation. Clinicians on assignment may enjoy food tours, kayaking through the Atchafalaya Basin and Lake Martin, walking tours, and scavenger hunts throughout the area. Weekends in the region feature Cajun music sessions, farmer's markets, art exhibits, and cultural events that reflect the area's distinct heritage.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians in this role will provide anesthesia services during day shifts at an operating room facility in Louisiana, with Tuesday and Thursday shifts beginning at 6:30 AM and an 8-hour daily guarantee. Call coverage is required and is structured as every other day pager call. The assignment serves a varied surgical caseload. Board certification is required for all clinicians considered for this role.
