Anesthesiology Locum Tenens Opportunity in MA

Overview:
Anesthesiology weekend coverage in Northampton, MA, covering OR and OB, with in-house overnight call preferred.

Schedule & Coverage:
Friday–Sunday, 24-hour shifts (2nd and 4th weekend each month). Client is looking for a locum that can cover all 3 weekend shifts at a time. Rotation pattern: Friday provider is onsite 7:00 AM until ~5:30 PM covering OR and OB, then available by phone 5:30 PM–7:00 AM; Saturday and Sunday coverage is by phone / back-up. Title: MD. On Call: Yes.

Work Details:
EMR: Epic. Patient Age Group: Adult and peds. Procedures: General, plastics, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, endoscopy, and healthy pediatric cases. Regional anesthesia skills strongly preferred. Endoscopy providers should be comfortable managing 16–20 cases/day. Ability to perform blocks, including pediatric blocks; physician should be able to do various blocks, including but not limited to peds. OB proficiency required. Overnight call in-house preferred. Call suite with private bathroom available. Call physician must remain onsite for running epidural, TOLAC, or high-risk obstetric patient in labor.

Requirements:
Board Certification: Required. State License: MA. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, (ABA eligible). DEA: Yes. Minimum Experience: 1 year.

Credentialing:
90 days. Willing to License: No.

Compensation & Travel:
Travel: All inclusive. OT and callback are the same as the regular rate. Holiday is 1.4x. First 8 hours of orientation are non-billable. 24-hour call needs to have 4 hours gratis.
