Anesthesiologist coverage is sought to address current staffing needs within the Anesthesia Department.

About the clinician's workday

The anesthesiologist will provide day shift coverage Monday through Friday at a community hospital operating room in Carlsbad, NM, with call responsibilities every 4th week covering Monday through Thursday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The surgical case mix includes bread and butter cases and obstetric procedures, with an average of 262 cases and 20 deliveries per month. This role is predominantly hands-on, with 95% MD hands-on involvement under an autonomous practice model with 1 CRNA. Board certification in Anesthesiology and prescriptive authority are required for this assignment.
