Anesthesiologist – Plattsburgh, NY – OB & OR Coverage

Job description

A hospital in Plattsburgh, New York is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) for locum coverage beginning summer 2026. This is a hospital-based role covering bread-and-butter surgical cases and OB call within a collaborative OR team.

Compensation
$400/hour
Travel & Lodging Provided

Assignment Overview
Coverage: June – September 2026
Extension: Possible
Preferred Schedule: 2 consecutive weeks per month
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Call: Required (includes OB call)
Must be within 15 minutes of the facility while on call
Temporary privileges may be available for candidates with a clean file and no malpractice history.

Practice Setting
Hospital-based anesthesia practice
Level III Trauma Center
9 operating rooms
EMR: Epic
Approximately 4–5 cases per day

Team includes:
~15 anesthesiologists
2 CRNAs
Anesthesia techs, PAs, nurses, and OR techs
Supervision of CRNAs occurs rarely.

No cardiothoracic cases
No neuro or cranial procedures
OB & Pediatrics
Labor & Delivery coverage required
~700–800 deliveries annually
Pediatrics limited to healthy children only

No outpatient pain management
