ANESTHESIOLOGIST – LOCUM OPPORTUNITY

Position Details
✔️ Specialty: Anesthesiology
✔️ Start Date: Immediate consideration
✔️ Assignment Length: 52 weeks
✔️ Number of Openings: 3
✔️ Shift: Day shift
✔️ Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts ONLY
✔️ Shift Time: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
✔️ Overtime: Not expected but may be offered
✔️ EMR: Epic

Responsibilities
✔️ Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and obtain patient consent
✔️ Discuss anesthesia options and associated risks with patients
✔️ Manage anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence
✔️ Monitor patients' physiological conditions throughout procedures
✔️ Provide clinical interventions as needed
✔️ Assist in directing and coordinating anesthesia department activities

Requirements
✔️ MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
✔️ Completion of an approved anesthesiology residency
✔️ Active physician license required
✔️ ECFMG and FLEX qualifications as applicable
✔️ Board certification or fellowship required
✔️ Must already hold the required state license; candidates needing to obtain a state license will not be considered

Additional Details
✔️ Physicians supervise CRNAs at a 1:4 ratio
✔️ Physicians perform their own cases
✔️ Weeknight and weekend pager call required
✔️ Holiday call required
✔️ Estimated privileging timeframe: 60 days
