New Locum Interventional Pain Management Physician Opportunity – North Carolina

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a fellowship-trained, Board Certified (preferred) Interventional Pain Management Physician with an Anesthesiology or Physiatry background for two locums opportunities in North Carolina.

Position Details
-Specialty: Interventional Pain Management
-Start Date: As soon as credentialed (approximately 1 week)
-Contract Length: 3 months with option to extend
-Coverage Needed: 4–6 shifts per month
-Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, 1:00 PM–5:00 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM. No nights, weekends, call, or holidays

Practice Setting
-Outpatient private practice with fully equipped in-office procedure suites
-Seven locations throughout South Carolina
-Established practice with more than 25 years of experience
-EMR: eClinicalWorks

Practice Highlights
-100% interventional procedures
-No new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, or medication prescribing
-High-volume practice performing approximately 25–30 procedures per day
-Well-trained support team including a C-arm radiology technologist, nurse, and medical assistant

Procedures: Epidural steroid injections (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar), Facet blocks and radiofrequency ablations, Sacroiliac joint injections, Joint injections, Spinal cord stimulator trials, Kyphoplasty, Stellate, celiac, lumbar sympathetic, superior hypogastric, ganglion impar, gasserian, and occipital nerve blocks

Requirements
-Fellowship-trained Interventional Pain Management physician preferred
-Board Certified in Anesthesiology or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation preferred
-Active North Carolina medical license required
-Experience performing 25–30 interventional pain procedures per day
-Strong communication skills, excellent bedside manner, and proficiency with electronic health records
-Comfortable working within a highly structured pain management program with strict medication compliance protocols.
