Anesthesiologist Needed in the Northeastern Pennsylvania Pocono Region
Start Date: June 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks (ongoing)

Schedule

Day shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
8‑hour shifts
Call optional but preferred
Minimal overtime


Practice Details

Acute care hospital environment
Care team model; MDs supervise CRNAs
Supervision ratio approximately 2–3:1
MDs may perform their own cases if preferred
12 ORs
Charting: Epic (including intra‑op)


Clinical Scope
Case responsibilities include:

General surgery
Orthopedics
Bread‑and‑butter cases
Rare pediatrics
OB negotiable
No neuro / no head cases
Comprehensive pre‑anesthetic assessment
General anesthesia administration
Airway management
Continuous intra‑operative monitoring and adjustments
Post‑operative recovery and pain management
Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams


Requirements

Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified
Active Pennsylvania medical license required (no licensing offered)
DEA required
Ability to supervise CRNAs and provide hands‑on anesthesia care
Comfortable with a general + ortho caseload and occasional OB
Provider home address must be 60+ miles from work location


Credentialing

Standard hospital credentialing
Estimated timeframe: ~90 days
Full onboarding required


Location
Northeastern Pennsylvania — hospital setting in an adjacent Pocono‑area community.
