Anesthesiologist Opportunity in Central Pennsylvania
Start Date: As soon as credentialed ~60–90 days
Contract Length: 13 weeks (potential ongoing)

Schedule

8‑hour, 10‑hour, or 24‑hour shifts

8s: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
10s: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
24s: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM


Weekday call only (Monday–Thursday)
No Friday call
Daytime M–F coverage
Call from home; no post‑call work
Coverage needed for multiple weeks July–December 2026
Credentialing: 60–90 days


Practice Details

Hospital‑based anesthesia service
20 CRNAs for support (CRNAs take in‑house call)
13 ORs, 1 hybrid OR, 2 cath labs
Anesthesiologists supervise CRNAs and also cover a modern ASC
Case mix includes:

Bariatric
Breast
General surgery
GYN
Orthopedic (heavy volume)
Plastic
Other general adult cases


No trauma, neuro, cardiac
Regional anesthesia experience required
Patient volume: approx. 600 surgical cases/month, 40 endoscopy cases/month, ~700 deliveries/year
Patient population: 12 months and up
EMR: Epic


Clinical Scope
Responsibilities include:

Full‑scope OR anesthesia
Regional anesthesia
Pre‑op, intra‑op, and post‑op anesthesia management
CRNA supervision (100% medical direction)
Airway management, monitoring, anesthetic plans
Collaboration with a team of 9 anesthesiologists and 20 CRNAs

Experience with regional anesthesia required.

Requirements

Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified required
Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC accepted
DEA and PA‑specific CSR required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
Epic experience preferred
Vaccinations: Flu required, COVID accepted with exemptions


Additional Requirements for Submission

Must be willing to work some holidays
Provider must stay engaged during the 5–7 business‑day review cycle

Locals accepted.

MMR (labs or vaccines)
Hepatitis B (labs or vaccines)
Tdap
Pre‑employment physical within 3 months
Ishihara color test
8‑panel drug screen


Credentialing

Full hospital credentialing
Estimated timeframe: 60–90 days
No early start allowed
Multiple compliance steps required
