Job description
We are seeking an Anesthesiologist to join a collaborative anesthesia team supporting a community-based hospital with a strong surgical program and diverse procedural volume. The Anesthesiologist will provide anesthesia services across a variety of surgical specialties, including:
General Surgery
Orthopedics
Dental Surgery
Urology
Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) Procedures
Responsibilities include:
Preoperative patient evaluation and optimization
Development of individualized anesthesia plans
Intraoperative anesthesia management
Post-anesthesia care and patient recovery oversight
Collaboration with surgeons, nursing teams, and CRNAs
Participation in call coverage as needed
Practice Environment
This is a community-focused hospital offering a wide range of surgical services in a collegial and patient-centered setting. The majority of cases are outpatient and ambulatory in nature, allowing providers to work in a fast-paced yet highly efficient environment.
Providers will work closely with CRNAs in a collaborative care team model and should be comfortable supervising anesthesia services while remaining clinically engaged.
Experience with peripheral nerve blocks is highly desirable.
Schedule
Multiple coverage opportunities are available, including:
Daytime clinical shifts
Overnight call coverage
Select 24-hour coverage shifts
The schedule offers flexibility for providers seeking supplemental work, recurring coverage opportunities, or concentrated blocks of clinical practice.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist
Active Pennsylvania medical license required
Strong experience with general anesthesia practice
Comfortable with orthopedic and ambulatory surgical cases
Experience performing peripheral nerve blocks preferred
Team-oriented approach and commitment to high-quality patient care
