Position Overview
A hospital in Woonsocket, Rhode Island is seeking a Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist to provide coverage in a collaborative practice setting. This opportunity offers a diverse case mix, including OB and cardiac procedures, in a well-supported clinical environment.

Assignment Details

Credentialing Timeline: 45–90 days
Temporary privileges available with clean background, malpractice history, and active unrestricted license
Setting: Hospital-based anesthesia
EMR: EPIC
OR Rooms: 4
CV Rooms: 1
Daily Staffing: 4 providers

Case Mix

General surgery
Endoscopy
OB (~450 deliveries annually)
Orthopedics (including some spine cases)
Urology
Gynecology
Podiatry
Cardiac (~380 cases annually including cath lab and TEE)

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care across a broad range of surgical services
Work collaboratively with CRNAs in a team-based model
Perform and manage regional and neuraxial anesthesia techniques

Requirements

Active, unrestricted medical license
Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS
Proficiency required in:
Epidurals
Spinals
Regional blocks (case logs required)
Clean background and malpractice history

Practice Environment

Balanced case variety including OB and cardiac exposure
Team-oriented MD/CRNA model
Efficient workflow supported by EPIC EMR
