Opportunity Overview
A facility in the San Antonio metro area is seeking 1 Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) for ongoing locums coverage. Provider will follow a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule with structured call and a predictable caseload.

Work Schedule

2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Monday–Friday: 7a–3p

Saturday: 5 hours of inpatient work (middle weekend of the 2-week cycle)

Total Paid Hours: 85 scheduled hours every 2 weeks (max billable)

Client Note: While the schedule is listed as 7a–3p, the actual workweek functions closer to ~50 hours Monday–Friday, as some days may finish at 3p, while others can run until 5p–7p depending on case length. Despite variable daily end times, the maximum payable hours are capped at 85 hours per 2-week period.

Call Details (Beeper – from home)
Week 1: Tuesday & Thursday
Weekend 1: Saturday & Sunday (24 hours each day)
Week 2: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Weekend 2: No call
Average call-ins: 1–2 per week

Case Types
Mostly general anesthesia
No neuro, no cardiac, no OB during days or call
Patient ages: All ages
MD/CRNA Ratio: 1:3
Model: Care team; mix of supervision + CRNA solo
Charting: Paper charting
New grads: Acceptable

Requirements
Degree: MD/DO
Board Certification: Anesthesiology
Active Texas license
Certifications: ACLS & BLS required (no TBD; PALS optional/not required)
Must be able to manage general anesthesia cases independently
Must be comfortable in a care-team model
Credentials & Processing
Credentialing turnaround: ~4 weeks
Decision maker reviews email presentations—no interview required

Compensation
All-inclusive: $438.82/hr
Paid only for the 85 scheduled hours every 2 weeks
No additional pay for overtime, call, or callback
