Anesthesiology Locum Tenens Opportunity – North Texas

2 Weeks On / 1 Week Off | High-Pay + Call Compensation
We are seeking an experienced Board-Certified Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) for an ongoing locum tenens assignment in North Texas, approximately 75 miles north of Dallas. This opportunity offers a predictable 2 weeks on / 1 week off rotation, strong call compensation, and a mix of cardiac and general anesthesia cases.
Assignment Details
Start Date: March 2026 (flexible)
Duration: 3–6 months initially; potential for extension
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
40-hour workweek
Rotation: 2 weeks on / 1 week off
Call: Beeper call with callbacks
Structured weekday and weekend rotation
Post-Call Day Off: Yes (after 12-hour day + call)

Cardiac & CV (approximately 20% CABG/Valves)
General Surgery
Neurology
Orthopedics
ENT
Urology
Cath Lab
Trauma
No routine OB (OB covered by dedicated CRNAs and hospitalist)
Note: Cardiac-capable anesthesiologists welcome; fellowship not required.
TEE certification preferred but not required.
Practice Model
Predominantly supervisory model
MDs may perform their own cases as needed
Daily coverage includes MDs and CRNAs
EMR: Cerner
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $430–$450/hr
Weeknight Beeper Call: $1,000 per night
Weekend Beeper Call: $2,000 per 24-hour period
Callback Pay: +$50/hr above base hourly rate
Travel & Lodging: Covered (flights, rental car, lodging or mileage + lodging)
Credentialing
Active Texas license required
Credentialing timeframe: 30–45 days
Temporary privileges available (as early as ~30 days)
Requirements
MD or DO
Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Cardiac and general anesthesia experience
Ability to take call
Active, unrestricted Texas license
