Anesthesiologist Needed Near Houston, TX
Start Date: As soon as credentialed (45-60 days)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (potential ongoing)

Schedule

Mix of day shifts, night call, weekend shifts, and OB coverage
Common shift types:

Day: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Call: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM
OB 24‑hour coverage when requested


Coverage needed for April and May (specific dates listed below)
Call is optional depending on provider preference
Credentialing timeframe: 45–60 days
Providers must have a clean file (no NPDB hits)

April Needs:

4/21 – Day, Call
4/22 – Call
4/23 – Day
4/24 – Day, Call
4/25 – Surgical Center
4/26 – Surgical Center
4/27 – OB
4/28 – OB, Day
4/29 – OB, Call

May Needs:

5/4 – Call
5/6 – Day
5/7 – Call
5/9 – OB (24hr)
5/10 – FC
5/11 – Day, Call
5/12 – Call


Practice Details

Hospital anesthesia service
Case mix includes:

Orthopedic
Neuro
GYN
Urology
General surgery
Interventional radiology


Supervision‑only model
EMR: Epic
Work setting: Hospital


Clinical Scope
Case responsibilities include:

OR anesthesia across multiple surgical services
OB anesthesia when scheduled
Airway management and standard monitoring
Pre‑op, intra‑op, and post‑op anesthesia care
CRNA supervision

Experience:

Broad general anesthesia background required
Ability to manage orthopedic, neuro, and OB preferred

Caseload specifics available upon request.

Requirements

Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified required
Active Texas medical license required
DEA required
BLS required
Clean NPDB profile required for consideration

Locals accepted.

Medical Requirements

COVID vaccine status per facility standards
TB status
MMR (labs or vaccines)
Hepatitis B (labs or vaccines)
Tdap
Pre‑employment physical (within 3 months)
Ishihara color test
8‑panel drug screen


Credentialing

Full hospital credentialing
Estimated timeframe: 45–60 days
Clean credentialing file required
No exceptions for NPDB issues
