Houston Area | $4**/hr + T&L
A large tertiary hospital system in the Houston area is seeking 2 Pediatric Anesthesiologists for locum tenens coverage.
Assignment Details
• Need: 2 Pediatric Anesthesiologists
• Start: November 2026 or ASAP
• End: March 31, 2027
• Potential: May continue beyond March
• Candidates must be able to start in November, December, or January
• Local candidates: Must live outside a 50-mile radius
• Provider must be flexible to work at all 3 assigned facilities as needed
Facilities
The provider must be willing to support:
• Main hospital
• Additional hospital approximately 20 miles away
• Ambulatory surgery center
Schedule
Mix of in-house daytime coverage and home call.
Monday-Friday:
• 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Call:
• Peds unrestricted call: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
• Weekday overnight home call
• Saturday/Sunday 24-hour home call
Clinical Model
• Level II facility functioning as a Level I trauma center
• Care Team Model
• Supervision of approximately 1-3 ORs
• Pediatric Anesthesiologists must be comfortable performing their own cases
• Mainly solo cases while also supervising CRNAs
Cases: Pediatrics Only
Requirements
• Board Eligible and Board Certified candidates accepted
• Active Texas license preferred
• IMLC candidates accepted
• Must have a 100% clean file
• Temporary privileges may be available
• Credentialing/privileging approximately 6 weeks
Compensation
$4**/hr + Travel & Lodging
Higher rates may be considered for exceptional skill sets or Chief/Director-level experience.
