Anesthesiologist Locum Coverage Need in VA

Contract Length: through 3/31/2024

Shift Details: 50 hour work week. 10 & 12 hour shifts Mon-Fri. Occasional OT

Schedule: (7a to 7p) (7p to 7a)

Work Details:

· Department description: Assist in the directing and coordinating of Activities in the Anesthesia Department | Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious ad/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures | Pre-anesthesia assessment | Obtains and/or verifies patient consent | Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient | Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia | Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition | Performance of clinical intervention as needed

· EMR: ICARE/ EPIC EMR (onsite EMR training)

· Anesthesia rooms on site: RRMC: OB (2 OR’s) Main OR (15) CVIR/Specials (2) MRI/CT (1) Endo (3 rms) Bronch (1 rm)

Practice Setting:

• Hospital

Requirements:

· License required: Yes

· Certifications required: M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine | ECFMG and FLEX | Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia | Currently licensed as a Physician

Credentialing Timeframe: 60 - 90 day credentialing

• 13 Week Assignment
• 10 & 12 hour shifts Mon-Fri. Occasional OT
