Aya Locums is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to provide locum coverage at a dynamic healthcare facility in Virginia. This opportunity offers clinical variety, flexible shift options, and the chance to support a busy surgical team across a broad range of adult and pediatric cases.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Schedule: Day shifts with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour options, based on departmental needs
• Shift Example: Four 10-hour day shifts, approximately 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (flexible start/end times)
• Call Requirement: Must be willing to take weeknight and/or weekend pager call
• Call Rotation: Approximately 1:7
• Workload: Combination of scheduled cases and on-call responsibilities

• Specialty: Anesthesiology
• Case Mix: Adult cases required; pediatric exposure preferred
• Anesthesia Types:
o General anesthesia
o Spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia
o Obstetrical anesthesia
• Procedural Areas:
o Cardiac Cath Lab
o Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
• Additional Skills Required:
o Ventilation management
o Placement of central and arterial lines
• Complex Cases:
o Complex vascular (excluding open heart)
o Complex orthopedic procedures
o Neurosurgical spine cases
Note: Open heart anesthesia, thoracic cases, pain management procedures, and PA catheter placement are not required.

• Inpatient surgical environment with diverse procedural volume
• Collaborative care model supporting anesthesia-led practice

Requirements
• License: Active Virginia medical license required
• Board Certification: Required
• Experience: Comfortable managing a broad anesthesia caseload, including obstetric and complex orthopedic cases
• Call Availability: Openness to weekday and weekend call is essential
