CRNA Opportunity – VA
Start Date: April 6, 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule & Shifts:
· Requires weekly availability (no rotating weeks on/weeks off)
· (4) 10-hour shifts per week preferred
· Will also consider 3x12s
· Weekend availability (Saturdays & Sundays) strongly preferred
· Hours: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM (rotating weekends)
· All time-off requests must be submitted upfront
Practice Setting:
· Inpatient & Outpatient
· Level I Academic Trauma Center
· 600-bed hospital
· EMR: Epic
Department Overview:
· 60 CRNAs, ~70 attending anesthesiologists, and 60 anesthesia residents
· Coverage includes:
– 33 main ORs
– 16 offsite anesthesia locations
– 12 outpatient surgery ORs
– 3–4 stand-alone GI center rooms
Clinical Scope:
· All CRNA scopes of practice
· Patient population: ages 13 through end of life
· Cases excluded: open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and peripheral nerve blocks
Requirements:
· NBCRNA certification required
· Active Virginia license required
· Minimum 2 years CRNA experience
· Prefer academic and Level I or II trauma experience
· Strong preference for recent inpatient experience with ASA 3+ patients
· Outpatient-only candidates considered, but inpatient experience preferred
· ACLS & BLS must be current and completed through AHA
· COVID & Flu vaccines required (no exemptions)
· DEA not required
Additional Notes:
· No local candidates — must live at least 50 miles from the facility
· Please disclose any prior work, training, or affiliation with UVA
· Two professional references required with submission
Credentialing:
· Minimum timeframe: 30 days
