Anesthesiologist Opportunity – Full-Time | Multi-Site Coverage

Virginia License Required at Submission

A hospital system is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to join a medically directed anesthesia team covering multiple facilities within the system. Providers must hold an active Virginia license at the time of submission and maintain current AHA certifications.

Schedule:
Monday–Friday
40 hours guaranteed, must be able to flex up to 50 hours per week
Full-time commitment required
Weekend availability is a plus
12-hour in-house night and weekend call blocks (7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)

Note: Providers open to working weekends, nights, or night call exclusively may also be considered due to coverage gaps.

Practice Model:
Medical Direction model (1:3 Anesthesiologist-to-CRNA ratio)
CRNAs practice under anesthesiologist supervision
CRNAs are limited to general anesthesia and spinals/epidurals only (no regional blocks)
Anesthesiologists should be comfortable performing regional blocks (preferred)
Must be willing to perform solo cases if needed

Open hearts
Organ harvest (no transplants)
Healthy pediatrics
Orthopedics
Thoracic
OB
Endoscopy
Trauma

Facility Details:
Providers will be credentialed at all sites and may float between locations, including:
Level II Trauma Center:
-16 ORs
-2 OB ORs
-8 Endoscopy suites
-Cath holding, IR, ED
-24/7 staffing model

Ambulatory Surgery Center:
-Monday–Friday only (no weekends)
-6 ORs
-Healthy pediatrics (ENT, dental), orthopedics, general cases
-Fast-paced environment
-Regional block proficiency required at this site

Community Hospital:
-6 ORs
-1 OB
-1 Endoscopy
-Heavy OB volume
-Critical cases transferred to the main trauma center
EMR: Epic

Requirements:
Board Certified
Active Virginia license at time of submission
AHA certifications required
Must be willing to work full-time and flex up to 50 hours per week
Must be willing to perform solo cases

Credentialing:
Estimated timeframe: 90–120 days
