Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for a 6‑month locum tenens assignment within a high-acuity hospital setting. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-supported, fast‑paced environment with a broad surgical case mix and no call requirement.
Assignment Details

Contract Length: 6 months
Schedule: 7:00 AM start time; cases finish-based
Shift Lengths: 8-hour and 10-hour shifts
Call Requirement: None

Practice Setting

Hospital-based practice
Level I trauma center with burn unit
30 operating rooms
Hospital size: 837 beds
EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

Supervision of CRNAs (no resident supervision)
Collaboration with anesthesiology colleagues and full administrative support team

Case Mix

General Surgery
Vascular
Orthopedics
OB
Neuro
Endoscopy
Dental
Some transplant cases
No pediatrics or ICU coverage required

Required Skills & Procedures

Management of complex and difficult airways (including fiber‑optic techniques)
Proficiency with difficult IV access
Arterial line and central line placement
Ability to work efficiently and lead within a fast‑paced, team‑based operating room environment
Physical ability to ambulate and navigate large operative spaces

Requirements

Board Certification (required)
Active state license (IMLC candidates accepted and preferred)
DEA (required)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Credentialing

Estimated timeframe: 60–90 days
Facility willing to license; IMLC strongly preferred
