We’re seeking a Board Certified Anesthesiologist for a full time locum tenens opportunity in Richmond, Virginia. This is a weekday, no call role at a large academic Level I trauma center, offering a diverse case mix, strong CRNA support, and full travel coverage.

• $300–$335/hour
• OT: 1.2x after 40 hours/week (pre approved)
• Holiday: 1.2x

• Monday–Friday
• Shifts: 8s and 10s
• Typical start: 7:00 AM
• End time varies based on case completion
• No call responsibilities

• Select transplant exposure
• No ICU coverage required

Department & Practice Environment
• Hospital based anesthesia department
• ~30 ORs, NORA, ambulatory and endoscopy centers
• Supervision of CRNAs only
o Locums will not supervise residents
• High volume OR environment
• Support includes admin team, CRNAs, and anesthesia faculty
• Approx. 240 cases/day across anesthesia team
• 837 bed hospital

Skills Required
• Management of complex/difficult airways (fiber optic experience)
• Proficiency with difficult IV access
• Arterial and Central line placement
• Ability to lead and function in a fast paced team model
• Comfort navigating large OR environments

Requirements
• Board Certified Anesthesiologist
• Active Virginia license (IMLC accepted)
• DEA required
• BLS & ACLS required
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Epic experience preferred
