New Opportunity Located in East Central VA with Aya Locums: Anesthesiologist

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an Anesthesiologist for a locum assignment at a Level 1 trauma hospital in East Central Virginia.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: July 2026
• Contract Length: 6 months
• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours
• Schedule: 8- and 10-hour shifts
• Shift Details: 7:00 AM to case completion (no call)

Work Details
• Case Mix: General surgery, vascular, orthopedics, OB, neuro, endoscopy, dental, and limited transplant cases (no pediatrics or ICU required)
• Facility Description: Level 1 trauma center with burn unit and approximately 30 operating rooms
• Responsibilities: Anesthesia care in a high-acuity surgical environment; supervision of CRNAs (no resident supervision required for locums)
• Support Staff: Administrative team, CRNAs, and additional anesthesia physicians onsite
• EMR: Epic

Requirements
• Board Certification: Required
• License: Active state license required (IMLC accepted)
• DEA: Required
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
