Anesthesiologist - High Acuity

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to join a busy, collaborative anesthesia team supporting a wide variety of surgical specialties in a high-volume hospital environment. This opportunity is ideal for providers who enjoy clinical diversity, working alongside experienced CRNAs, and practicing in a setting that offers both challenging and rewarding cases.

Position Highlights
Full-time schedule with consistent weekday coverage

Providers will have the opportunity to care for patients across a wide range of specialties, including:

Obstetrics
Orthopedics
Neurointerventional Procedures
Vascular Surgery
Trauma Surgery
Gastroenterology
Urology
Gynecology
Thoracic Surgery
Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology
MRI Anesthesia
Endoscopy
Acute Care Surgery
Limited Pediatric Cases

This role offers exceptional variety and is well suited for anesthesiologists who enjoy maintaining a broad clinical skill set.

Schedule
Approximately 50 hours per week
Primarily 10- and 12-hour weekday shifts
Optional call opportunities available
Occasional overtime available
Weekend and overnight coverage opportunities for providers seeking additional clinical exposure

Collaborative physician-led anesthesia department
Supervision of experienced CRNAs
Multidisciplinary approach to patient care
Strong perioperative support structure
Fast-paced but highly organized practice environment
Qualifications
Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Active Virginia medical license required
DEA registration required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum of one year of post-training experience preferred
Experience managing a broad range of surgical cases
