Job description

We are seeking a Locum Tenens Critical Care Pediatric Physician in Flagstaff, AZ.

Shift: 24-hour call with morning rounds; 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
Start Date: October 26, 2026
End Date: Nov 1 & ongoing

Position Details:
Pediatric ICU coverage
Minimum 1 week of coverage per month
7–15 patients per day
5 years of PICU experience required
AZ license required; IMLC preferred
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics

Patient Population: Pediatric patients, ages 0–18; PICU and pediatric patients
Setting: Inpatient
Type of Healthcare Facility: Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities:
Provide pediatric critical care coverage
Conduct morning rounds
Provide 24-hour call coverage
Manage PICU and pediatric patients

Required Procedures: Coding
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: NPs available onsite during the day and evening
Days Per Month: Minimum 1 week per month
On-Call/Weekends: 24-hour call coverage

Requirements:
AZ license or IMLC
Board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics and 5 years of PICU experience
DEA, BLS, PALS

• Pediatric Critical Care: Dedicated PICU and pediatric coverage for patients ages 0–18.
• Strong Clinical Support: NPs available onsite during daytime and evening hours.
• Oct 26 to Nov 01 Days Per Month: Minimum 1 week per month
