Locum Tenens Electrophysiologist Opportunity | Arizona

Job description

A well-established healthcare system in Arizona is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Electrophysiologist for a recurring locum tenens opportunity. This is a hybrid schedule with procedural and clinical responsibilities, set in both hospital and outpatient clinic environments.

Position Details:
• Start Date: August 4, 2025
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
• Structure: 2 days in lab, 3 days in clinic
• Commitment Dates:
o Aug 4–8,
o Sept 8–12,
o Oct 6–10,
o Oct 13–17,
o Dec 22–26
• Patient Load: 3–4 hospital consults/day, 4–6 EP procedures/day, 20–22 clinic patients/day
• Facility Size: 268-bed hospital
• EMR System: Cerner

Clinical Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 year experience
• Proficient in left-sided ablations and cardiac electrophysiology
• Must be able to independently manage moderate sedation and perform TEEs
• Experience with Abbott Ensite-X Mapping System is required
• Recent case logs with at least 100 EP cases in the last two years

Credentialing & Licensing:
• Arizona license or eligibility required (IMLC accepted)
• Board Certified/Eligible in Electrophysiology
• ACLS certification and valid DEA required
• Credentialing process takes approximately 30 days

Additional Info:
• Orientation provided remotely prior to start
• Cross-facility credentialing possible for broader practice coverage
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (exemptions allowed)
