Locum Opportunity – Electrophysiologist | Kentucky
Job description
Location: Kentucky
Schedule: 5x8 clinic schedule (flexible)
Duration: At least 1 week per month, with potential for additional coverage
Start Date: Ongoing need
Shift & Call Details
Shift Structure: Standard 5x8 clinic schedule; may extend slightly based on patient volume
Schedule Flexibility: Ideally 1 week of clinic coverage per month, but open to additional requests
Call: No call requirements
Weekend Coverage: Not expected
Work Details
Support Staff: 3 staff physicians and APP support
Monthly Coverage Need: Flexible
Patient Volume: 16–20 patients per half day depending on APP support; lower for outreach clinics
Patient Types: 15/30 minutes for follow-ups; 20/40 minutes for new patients (based on experience and Epic proficiency)
Department Description: Options for clinic-only work or a mix of clinic and procedure block days
Procedures: 1-day procedure block shifts with lab time available; proficiency in ablations and pacemaker procedures required
EMR: Epic
Practice Setting: Academic / Hospital
Requirements
Board Certification: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology with Electrophysiology Fellowship
License: Kentucky (willing to consider licensing candidates)
DEA: Required (KY)
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Electrophysiology
Credentialing Timeframe: 120 days
