Job description

A board-certified Electrophysiologist is needed for a locum tenens assignment providing part-time coverage within a hospital-based cardiac program. This is a great opportunity for a specialist seeking a consistent, low-frequency schedule while maintaining procedural and consultative work.

Position Overview
Specialty: Cardiac Electrophysiology
Start Date: Mid-May or as soon as credentialed
Assignment Length: Approximately 3 months (maternity leave coverage)
Schedule: 1 day per week
Shift Hours: Day shift (typically 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Call: None
Practice Setting
Hospital-based role within a multi-site float pool
Level III trauma environment
Approximately 170-bed facility
Balanced mix of procedural and consultative responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
Perform electrophysiology procedures in the lab
Provide inpatient EP consults as needed
Collaborate with cardiology and hospital teams across sites
Clinical Environment
EMR: Cerner
Supportive hospital staff and care teams
Structured workflow with predictable weekly coverage
Requirements
Board Certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology
Active state medical license required
DEA and CSR required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
