Cardiac Electrophysiologist - Clinic and EP Lab Coverage in Ohio

Job description

Aya Locums is partnering with a hospital-based Cardiac Electrophysiology program seeking an Electrophysiologist for ongoing coverage in Ohio.

The typical weekday schedule is Monday - Friday, with approximately two outpatient clinic days followed by three procedural days in the EP lab. Clinic volume is approximately 14 patients per day on the clinic days.

The clinical scope includes outpatient EP clinic, inpatient consultations, hospital rounding, EKG interpretation, and procedural Electrophysiology. Expected procedures may include EP studies, catheter ablation, cardioversion, implantable cardiac devices, syncope evaluation, remote device management, and related EP services.

The program has two EP labs, another Electrophysiologist on staff, and APP support for the inpatient service. The current mapping platform is Abbott EnSite, and the facility uses Epic.

The client is seeking a physician Board Certified in both Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. Ohio licensure will be needed for the assignment, and IMLC physicians are being considered. ACLS, BLS, DEA, and the appropriate Ohio controlled-substance registration will also be required.

Call expectations vary between the current client notes, so I would prefer to discuss the exact night and weekend responsibilities directly rather than misrepresent the schedule.

Even if this particular setup is not ideal, I would still welcome the chance to learn what makes locums worthwhile for you - including your preferred procedural mix, schedule, call structure, location, rate expectations, and anything you would rather avoid.

  • Two clinic days and three procedural days each week
  • Two EP labs with another Electrophysiologist on staff
  • IMLC licensing considered for qualified EP physicians
