Locum Cardiac Electrophysiologist – Jan 2027 Start

Job description

Join a well-established cardiology program seeking a Board-Certified Cardiac Electrophysiologist for a six-month locum assignment beginning in January 2027, with the potential to extend. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians looking for a consistent 2-weeks-per-month schedule combining clinic, inpatient care, and EP call.

Schedule:

8-hour clinic shifts (3–4 days/week)
Adjacent weekend EP call 1–2 weekends per month
Potential for additional EP lab days for the right candidate

Practice Details
Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
Adult/Geriatric patient population (primarily ages 50+)
Average patient volume: 3–4 patients per day
Work alongside General and Interventional Cardiology teams during weekend coverage

Weekend call includes:
Telephone call after 5:00 PM
Inpatient rounding
Pacemaker implantation (Saturday/Sunday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM)

Requirements
MD/DO
Board Certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology
Active state medical license
BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Must demonstrate:
Active inpatient cardiology practice with 100 inpatient cases within the past 24 months
30 electrophysiology cases within the past 24 months
If requesting ablation privileges, 30 ablation cases within the previous year (or fellowship logs if recently trained)
