Electrophysiology Cardiology Locums Opportunity | 2 Weeks per Month Coverage

A healthcare system is seeking an Electrophysiology Cardiologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage. This opportunity offers a mix of clinic, hospital, and call responsibilities with the potential for additional EP lab days for qualified candidates.

Practice Details:
-Inpatient and outpatient setting
-388-bed hospital
-Patient population primarily age 50+ and geriatric
-Average daily volume: 3-4 patients
-Clinic and hospital privileges required

Schedule:
-Coverage needed approximately 2 weeks per month
-8-hour clinic shifts for 3-4 days followed by adjacent weekend call coverage 1-2 times per month
-Weekend EP call required
-Telephone call after 5:00 PM
-Weekend rounding and inpatient pacemaker implantation responsibilities
-Saturday-Sunday coverage from 7:00 AM-5:00 PM

Procedures:
-Inpatient pacemaker implantation
-Direct Current Cardioversion (DCCV)
-Additional EP lab days may be available for experienced providers

Requirements:
-Board Certified/Board Eligible Electrophysiology Cardiology
-Active, recent cardiology practice experience
-Must demonstrate management of at least 100 inpatient cardiology cases within the past 24 months or recent completion of accredited training
-Documentation of at least 30 electrophysiology cases performed within the past 24 months
-Providers seeking ablation privileges must demonstrate at least 30 ablation cases within the previous year
Training logs accepted for recent fellowship graduates
