Locum Tenens Electrophysiologist (EP) - 1 week a month

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Electrophysiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Tennessee. This is a hospital-based role with a structured schedule that includes weekday coverage and one weekend of call per month. The position offers strong APP support and a consistent inpatient procedural volume.

Coverage Needed:
1 week per month (Monday–Friday, hourly coverage)
1 weekend of call per month

Weekday Schedule:
Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Some variation based on inpatient service needs

Call Requirements:
1 weekend per month
Weekend call runs Friday 6:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM

Includes some general cardiology coverage

Practice Details
Setting: Predominantly hospital-based inpatient coverage
Department: Electrophysiology
Support Staff: 1 Electrophysiology APP assisting with hospital-based services

Patient Volume:
~15 inpatients on service
2–3 device implants per day
Patient Population: Adults (18+)

Procedures & Equipment
Implantable cardiac devices
Ablative therapies as needed
Implantable Loop Recorders (ILRs)
Cardioversions with moderate sedation

Requirements
Board Certification: Required – Electrophysiology
Minimum Experience: 2+ years
Licensure: Active Tennessee license required
IMLC: Accepted
DEA: Required (unless non-prescribing; DEA exemption form may be signed)
Certifications: BLS & ACLS
