Electrophysiology Physician | EP + General Cardiology | Bellingham, WA | 36 Weeks

Job description

Start: November 2, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 36 weeks / 9 months (open to extension)
Coverage: Scheduled shifts plus call - EP in both hospital and clinic settings; general cardiology hospital only
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 7:00-17:00, one week per month
Call: Anticipate 2 weeknight calls during a one-week stretch, plus potential 24-hour weekend call as needed
Volume: Average daily census approximately 10; 2-4 TEEs per shift on general cardiology days
Practice Setting: 247-bed hospital plus outpatient cardiology clinic
Procedures: Full-spectrum EP - pacemakers through ablations; general cardiology cardioversions and TEEs
Rounding and admissions: Both required
Population: Adults
Support: APC support available Monday-Saturday
Orientation: 8 hours of non-billable orientation provided

Responsibilities:
- Electrophysiology consultation, device implantation, and ablation procedures
- General cardiology inpatient coverage including cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms
- Inpatient rounding and admissions
- Outpatient EP clinic evaluations and follow-up
- Documentation in Epic

Requirements:
- Board Certified in Cardiology and Electrophysiology
- ACLS and BLS required
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Washington state license required - IMLC accepted; client is willing to license depending on start date
- Hospital and clinic privileges for EP; hospital privileges only for the general cardiology component
- Epic charting experience required
- COVID-19 vaccination required - no exemptions

Credentialing:
- Standard credentialing: approximately 90 days from application submission
- Temporary privileges: 120 days | Standard privileges: 1.5 years
