A leading California health system is seeking an experienced Surgical Physician Assistant for a locums assignment assisting in robotic surgical cases across multiple service lines. The primary focus will be Thoracic Surgery, with additional opportunities to assist in General Surgery, Urology, GYN, and Head & Neck (SP robot) cases.

This position is 100% intraoperative, with the PA functioning as a first assist on all robotic procedures. No pre-op or post-op responsibilities. The role is ideal for a provider comfortable operating in high-volume, academic-style surgical environments.

Details:

Locations: Will float between two hospital campuses within the same health system

Schedule: 5x8s (start times 6:45 AM or 9:00 AM)

Open to local candidates seeking 2+ days per week or partial coverage

Procedures Include:

Thoracic: Thoracotomies, Lung Lobectomies

GYN: Hysterectomies

Urology: Prostatectomies, Nephrectomies

Experience Required:

MUST have DaVinci XI robot experience

Thoracic Surgery experience required

SP or XP robot experience (Head & Neck) a plus

Role: 100% intraoperative first assist with surgeons in robotic cases

Call: Some weekend call possible
