Locums Cardiothoracic Surgeon Needed in UT – 24-Hour Call

Job description

Schedule:
• December 28, 2026–January 3, 2027
• 24-hour call coverage, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
• Call only; no clinic coverage

Clinical Details:
• Cardiovascular and thoracic surgery
• Level II trauma hospital
• Approximately 10–12 patients per week
• Approximately 3–5 consults and 1–3 surgeries per week
• Typical weekly case mix includes 1 cardiac case and 2–3 thoracic cases
• Responsibilities include surgical consults, emergency and inpatient coverage, operative cases, and rounding as needed
• Must be able to work independently
• EMR: Meditech
